I’m still alive :)
Long time no update again…but well, I do have an excuse. Last week Eliza was visiting me and I was at the skijumping competition this weekend.
It was great to have Eliza here! We had a lot of fun, though it was really awful to go outside since it was so hot, and still is for that matter. I hope this heatwave will be over soon, I’m sick of sitting in my room all day long. The other place I would be able to go to is our freezer. 😉
On Tuesday we went to the Corso Movie Theater in Vaihingen (Stuttgart). That’s a movie theater that only plays movies in the original version. I really have to go there more often. There are some American’s stationed close by, could help with my plans of finding an American guy. :smug: Anyway, we saw “Legally Blonde 2” and let me tell you, the movie is just hilarious!! Maybe not as good as the first one, but that’s usually the case for sequels, eh?
While Eliza was there I also got the confirmation that my application for the Greencard lottery arrived. Around November I’ll get the certificate from the USA which confirms that they have received it. It’ll take till April till we found out whether we were lucky or not (Eliza applied too). If I know my luck, I won’t win, but yeah, I really have to start thinking positive. 🙂
Now to my weekend…woah I’m so glad I actually survived that! It was unbearingly hot. Standing in the sun all day long really wasn’t very fun. But seeing Hanni jump kinda made up for that. Mmmmmh, he looked very good, as usual *drools* But….since it was so hot the jumpers got out of their suits after jumping, and woah, Hanni has some very very skinny arms. Almost scary. Never really noticed that before. I mean, yeah, obviously he’s skinny, being a ski-jumper, but like that?? I don’t know…the others weren’t that bad.
Martin didn’t jump on Saturday in the team competition, and we were pretty upset about that. 🙁 But we still saw him, so that was ok. Also looking very good as usual. 🙂
We were standing right next to the press area, so we had a good view of the guys, when they walked away. I only had a small disposable camera with me but I hope the pictures turned out good. Though we will get some very good ones too. There was this one photographer from Uvex (you know, the guys who make the goggles and stuff) and she wrote my friend’s and my address and promised to send us some pictures of our favorite teams (being the German and the Finnish team). I realy can’t believe it. So nice!! Professional pics….for free! I guess I can believe in the good in humans again.
Hah, a funny thing that happened at a restaurant Saturday night…well, maybe not THAT funny, but my friend and me had a hard time not laughing out loud. My friend ordered Spaghetti and I ordered a Pizza. While my friend was already eating I still had to wait. And my Pizza wasn’t there yet when my friend was finished eating. That seemed really weird. And the folks at the table next to us seemed to have a similar problem. 3 were almost finished eating and the 4th one was still waiting for her food. Well, we both complained about it and they promised the food would be there right away. 2 minutes later they came back and asked that lady what she ordered. Well, she told them and soon later she finally got it, as I got my Pizza. Well, apparently they didn’t bring that lady what she really ordered, so he told the owner who came to check if everything was alright. And do you know what he said? He staired at her and asked “So what do you want me to do now? Do you want me to hang myself??” How incredibly rude! But really, it was so funny, I wish the woman had said yes…
We were still laughing about that when we went back to our hotel!
One more thing…
….Thank you so much Dennis for copying the QAF episodes for me!!! Oh I sooooo love that show!! Can’t stop watching it. I started watching on Friday evening, had to take a break on Saturday and most of Sunday, but until now I already watched 16 of the 22 episodes! It’s very very addictive! Now I just wish I could get my hands on the second season too. *sighs* Oh well, I guess I’ll have to be patient. :blank:
Ok, I think that’s it for today. 😀
ETA: Woah I think I got a little smiley-crazy there…sorry about that…
