Website related things
I just upgraded to WordPress 2.0 and it went better than I thought. There are probably some errors all around, but I will gradually fix them. The themeswitcher plugin is a bit slow. It doesn’t switch the theme right away, only after reloading the page, but hey, at least it didn’t stop working alltogether. 😛
So yes, please don’t mind errors for now, I’m working on it. 🙂
ETA: Upgraded the themeswitcher plugin, so now it works just as it should.

I decided to remove a few of my older skins a while ago, since I am not happy with how they look anymore. My only problem with it was that only 3 skins would be left afterwards, and I thought it wasn’t enough. So it was just perfect that Cathrine made this gorgeous Renée Zellweger layout for me as her final Secret Santa gift.
I just finished adjusting the layout to fit into wordpress and made it the standard layout, because it is just so pretty! <3
And when I was done I removed 4 old layouts: NYC, Hugh Jackman, Meg Ryan and Labyrinth. I will definitely make new Hugh and NYC layouts, but better ones. Just have to find the time to do it. 🙂
And I also just noticed that you guys need to ask me more questions!
It’s just amazing! I just changed the nameservers for silent-dreams.org 5 minutes ago and they have already resolved for me! How is that possible? How?? *surprised*
So yeah, it took me quite a while to realize that the Q&A script did display in the new WordPress pages structure but you weren’t able to submit questions. Blah, I’m stupid.
So I took it out of the structure and put it on a separate page which will get it’s own layout soon. For now you can go ahead and ask ask ask!
I just installed them and, hurray, got them to work right away! I’d tried to install them a while ago, before WP 1.5 and miserably failed, but yeah, not one problem this time. Gotta love wordpress, it keeps getting better and better.
ETA: Also added the weather plugin to the currents. So you can see that we have crappy weather right now. 😛 I’m skimming through the plugin section at WordPress Codex right now, so I might add some more stuff.
So most of you already know from my LJ that I quit my TFL staffing position about 2 weeks ago. You have no idea how relieved I am. No more feeling bad for not updating and more time for my other sites.
Along with quitting the staff position I’m also getting rid of quite a lot of fanlistings. So please, if you want to adopt one of them, go here and apply after reading the rules. 🙂
Yay! Lots of new things today!
I just finished off a new skin for the site and I have to say I loooove it. I love the way it looks. Mmh, Claire is gorgeous, don’t you all agree? Been working on the layout ever since I finished the WordPress stuff and am totally exhausted now. Methinks I need a break from the computer now.
Please let me know if you spot anything not working in this layout. I know about the IE problem with the copyright layer link on shorter pages already.
Or whatever you might want to call it. The whole page is now running through WordPress. Content pages and obviously the blog. I really like the way it’s customized now, ’cause I can access all the stuff from everywhere, so when I’m bored at work I can add some stuff to the site.
Of course this means that I will have to start making more regular updates of the database, wouldn’t want to lose any of this stuff, since it’s been a bit strenuous to make it the way it is now. I obviously have to thank the friendly souls at the WordPress Support Board, and especially Minna for providing me with a Page template!
There’s only two pages that I couldn’t convert to WordPress yet, since there seems to be a problem with the PHP code, not sure. It’s the Questions and Blogroll pages. I have the RunPHP plugin running, but I get error messages when trying to execute these two scripts…. :\
I just finished upgrading WordPress to the latest version, so some things are not working yet. Please be patient. 🙂 I will try to bring the skins back as well as the little things like poll and such. But now I’m tired, I have to work tomorrow, so yeah….goodnight. ^_^
